The Aurora Distributed Flatsats (DFS) program has recently completed Phase One – Definition, and is now moving to Phase Two – MVP. Aurora and SmartSat CRC research partner UNSW Sydney, is calling for Expressions of Interest from industry partners and/or consortia to commercialise the next Phase of the DFS.

Australian start-ups join forces to test AI computing in space
Two emerging Australian space startups – AICRAFT and Antaris Space Space – have signed of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to test new Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) models in space, with the goal of developing and space-qualifying new computational capabilities for satellite-based applications.
